Occasionally. But often it’s compassion that drives our spending. There’s no shortage of worthy causes here in the Islands, and for local nonprofits that depend on it, fundraising is a fact of life. Asking for money is always difficult, but in tough economic times it’s even harder. Though its cause might be deserving, a nonprofit must find innovative ways to turn its call-to-action into a windfall. How have some local nonprofits succeeded in the past few years?
