Which omnipotent forces can make money dance its way out of our wallets?
Necessity? Obviously. Indulgence? Occasionally. But often it’s compassion that drives our spending. There’s no shortage of worthy causes here in the Islands, and for local nonprofits that depend on it, fundraising is a fact of life.
Asking for money is always difficult, but in tough economic times it’s even harder. Though its cause might be deserving, a nonprofit must find innovative ways to turn its call-to-action into a windfall. How have some local nonprofits succeeded in the past few years? They’ve launched creative new events that offer donors more than a feel-good opportunity: They offer experiences that put extreme “fun” into fundraising!
