Three years ago Joyce Harada, owner of The Little Oven, decided to expand her specialty dessert business by opening a small café on King Street. But for the first two years, she operated barely on the radar, garnering a small but loyal following on the nights she was open. All without advertising.
Until one night about a year ago when a few people armed with smart phones stumbled into the shop and Twittered about it.
