The motto of REA Events and Design, a full-service event production firm, is “Big Transformations.” Owner China Anderson is up for just about any challenge, saying, “An event space is my canvas!” As the only daughter of Richard and Darrah Anderson, owners of the former event production company, Show People Hawaii, Inc., China grew up in a world of extrav- agant theme parties, lavish corporate events, and imaginative award shows, from “M*A*S*H” to “Hollywood Comes to Kaua‘i,” an event that won a national award.
“I experienced a lot as a little kid without really realizing what I was experiencing. I thought everybody’s parents threw big parties every week- end!” she says.
